Call for Directors to the Board

***St Austell Market House seeks NEW Directors***

Are you passionate about St Austell Market House?

Could you play an active role in helping to secure its future?

Have you got a few hours per month and some specific skills and experience that can help?

If so, the Market House Board is seeking new directors for the St Austell Market House CIC.

Some of our members have recently stepped down, due to either retirement or other commitments. We are looking to continue with the current flow of energy in the market house, at the same time welcome fresh ideas and renewed focus.

For the last 6 months the Board has been focused on an ambitious programme of work to help encourage footfall to support existing tenants and secure new tenants, whilst carrying out numerous repairs and exploring ways to renovate this stunning heritage building to protect its future within the St Austell community.

NOW is the time to strengthen the Board once again.

The specific skills and experience that would add most value include; grant/funding applications, fundraising, events management, marketing and of course heritage and building preservation.

The role is voluntary; the Board meets monthly with ad-hoc commitments outside of the meetings schedule and is also represented on other organisations and stakeholder groups within the community.

As a town we have to keep fighting for the Market House.
