The Market House Launch Event

The Market House Launch Event - St Austell Saturday 21st August 2021

This event is all about you and we are delighted to re launch the market house back to the community of St Austell on Saturday 21st August 2021 from 9am, to celebrate what a special place this is – and to help safely reconnect our community after the challenging months of lockdown.

The events team are on a roll and hot on the heels of the Green and Whitegold Festival - Craft Fair, Pop Up Art and Live Music Event, they've been planning for this event at great pace.

We'll be showing off the recent renovations thus far, we'll have a fantastic new café with the best coffee and we'll be entertaining you throughout the day with crafts, pop up art, music and song and many of our independent traders will be waiting to welcome you.

Here is the Live Music line up....

The building will be alive with music and song. So far, we can reveal that our live music running order looks like this;
  • 10.15 David Hayes, Classical guitarist
  • 11.30 Stuns'ls, Sea shanty group
  • 13.15 Bagas Crowd, Cornish  fiddle group
  • 14.30 Barry's Shed, Ukulele band

Craft Stalls....

Plus, we've selected a whole range of exciting local makers and craft stalls selling their wares and creations including; Decoupage Gifts, Fused Glass workshops, Seaglass Crafts, On The Rocks Gin, Resin jewellery and decorations, Photos and frames to name but a few....

Pop Up Art....

We're thrilled to be joining forces with Pop Up Art St Austell who are taking over the exhibition space on the 1st floor for the day and for a week leading up to event, they will be exhibiting in the brand new look pop up space in the front entrance of the building with a display by some of the Pop Up Art - regular artists themselves.

We look forward to welcoming you!

(The event content maybe subject to change at short notice)

A Safe Event

We want everyone who comes to St Austell Market House to feel confident and comfortable at the event.

We are equally committed to ensure the comfort of our festival facilitators, volunteers and staff as we are to our public visitors, so please everyone remember HANDS, FACE, SPACE and be thoughtful and respectful to others.
