The Market House Launch Event

The Market House Launch Event

The Market House Launch event was all about our community and we were delighted to re-launch the market house on Saturday 21st August 2021. We celebrated what a special place this is – and to help safely reconnect with our community, we will swung the new floor to ceiling doors wide open after the challenging months of lockdown.

Following a two-year period of repairs and renovation, we'll be showing off the recent completed works and we are excited to reveal on the day, the fantastic new Market House Coffee Shop serving the best fair-trade coffee plus we'll be entertaining you throughout the day with craft stalls, pop up art, music and song.

We had a market house team hub where you can pick up information about how to get involved, become a market house friend and share your own thoughts and ideas for the market house with us. Many of our regular independent traders welcomed you and joined in the celebrations with book signings, fused glass workshops, sgraffito and FREE comic books.

A Safe Event

We want everyone who comes to the Market House to feel confident and comfortable at the event.

We are equally committed to ensure the comfort of our festival facilitators, volunteers and staff as we are to our public visitors, so please everyone remember HANDS, FACE, SPACE and be thoughtful and respectful to others.

Our event is in conjunction with St Austell BID, White River Place, Holy Trinity Church and Historic Promotions; a ‘Glimpse into Cornwall’s Past’ event with activities taking place throughout town all day.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our tenants, visitors and partners for all their support and patience over the last couple of years and for following us on this journey.

Thank you for coming!
